Julia took the lifeguard course last month.
It was over two week-ends and was pretty intensive. She was very stressed so we would go encourage her during her lunch break and made sure she had what she liked for breakfast.
She went to the pool in between the two sessions to practice and be able to swim 400m under 10 minutes. She passed with 15 seconds to spare (could you do it?) Congratulations !
She now gets to work at the pool!
Her next course, in a couple of weeks, is to become a swimming instructor. Good luck!
What a wonderful glimpse into doing https://sites.google.com/view/lifeguardonlinetraining/services/lifeguard-classes — your description of the two weekend sessions, the stress Julia felt, and how she practiced tirelessly (swimming 400 m in under 10 minutes!) really brings it to life. It’s inspiring that she passed with time to spare, and it shows that dedication, persistence, and good support make all the difference. For anyone considering lifeguard classes, your story is a reminder that the effort is worth it — not just to gain certification, but to grow confidence and responsibility. Congrats to Julia, and thank you for sharing this journey!
