Happy New Year

  We went back to Grandma Melissa for New Year's eve. 

She, and her daughters, had prepared some traditional games. For the first one, you needed to pull a string and see what bow was attached to it. Then you would find that same bow on a cup and take the gift under the cup.  

For the second one, you had to pop the balloons on the tree to collect the money!

We had a lot of fun!

To Utah

  We ended the year in the US.

We wanted to leave early on Saturday but all the roads were closed. So we didn't go too far that day, but we did find Burger King!

On Sunday, we crossed the border and went to church in Grand Rapids, Michigan. 

 

It was a tough day, lots of fog morning and night with rain in between.

We went through Indiana, Illinois, Iowa and stopped at Council Bluffs, Nebraska. Then, Wyoming and Utah.

Christmas Day

 

After opening and playing with the gifts, we went to Special and Grandpa's. 

A very tiring day...

Christmas Eve

 We already had a big party so for the réveillon, we didn't do too much The boys didn't want a special meal. All they like is Nutella. We still kept the candlelit dinner tradition. 

It probably would have been mac and cheese if Julia had been there...
