Ryan's Trip

 It's already over!

While he was away, we received the results of his evaluation. Ryan suffers from dyslexia and dysgraphia. The sessions showed that he was good at maths but his inversions and his poor work memory (his worst score on the IQ test) still make it hard for him, so we'll see about dyscalculia. The lady was surprised at how well he can read despite his problems but he generally doesn't understand what he reads. She said school is going to get harder and harder for him as the gap between his comprehension and his production will increase. Lots of work ahead...

January

It's already the end of January and I haven't posted our boat pictures. It's probably because this year, we don't think we did well in our culinary tradition..Keld envisioned a battleship and I saw seashells on the beach. Oh well, we'll do better next year!

January has been quite cold but Keld and Kelden still went snowmobiling a few times.

The semester ended and it looked like the end of the year for Kelden...

Zack seems to have done pretty well for his first exams.

Ryan left for his 8 year-old trip.

Julia is quite jealous but she still has fun with her friends.

We Keep Partying

We started the year with lots of chocolate! Grand-Mère sent us a package and Auntie Becca gave us some more!!

It's a good thing I still go to school on snow days or I would have finished it all :) This first week of school was all snow days. Ryan stayed home with his brothers on Monday but then he went with me.

Despite the lack of practice because of the weather, Kelden got his licence!

We celebrated the Wise Men as per tradition. Keld got both fèves and shared with Ryan.

And we also continue our New Years tradition, étrennes,  which is to buy a book for each kid. Ok, maybe more than one book for some kid.
