Our family doesn't do well in "planned" pictures. Tell us that we will have to smile at a certain day, at a certain time, and you can be sure that we won't. We don't do well under pressure I guess. We did get some nice pictures, but it was not easy.
Kelden actually did okay with his best buddy.
Zack wasn't too bad (crazy hair though) but he wasn't smiling as big as he usually does.
Keld and I did try...
I saw on Facebook (THE reference :) that lots of people take pictures where the parents are kissing while the kids do whatever they want (which often means they're not smiling). Since I always do everything everyone else does, we had to try. I also thought it was an easy pose and a better reflection of family life (love amidst chaos) than the all smiling family picture.
Of course, I still like the all smiling family picture...
`...it's such a rare treasure !

Scott Family Vacation 2012: Photoshoot -group pictures
When Jordan's family arrived, the Scott's family was complete. Time for a picture (or hundreds of them).
The whole family
The brothers
The sisters
The muscles
Sorry, wrong picture, let me try again...
And I saved the best for last:
The grand-kids

As soon as Dave's family came into town, the war was on...
I teamed up with Jeff, but I'm not sure we won...maybe next time!

14 juillet
Yesterday was our national holiday but, of course, we started celebrating earlier.
I thought I would dress my kids in blue, white and red (3 colors, 3 kids, it sounded like a good idea) and take a "French flag picture". My kids, however, weren't into it at all and we didn't get a great shot. We did try and try and try again...I even asked Keld to help.
I thought I would try the next day, but the kids were worse and didn't even want to participate. (I told you they felt more Canadians than French). Julia said she would take a picture of us though.
Since I couldn't get a flag out of my kids, I decided to get it out of cupcakes. (Okay, I had decided to make cupcakes no matter what).
We also had food at the cottage to celebrate. Special had made a special dessert last week with the 3 colors, and yesterday we had brownies.
And now, what you've all been waiting for...our rendition of the Marseillaise! Our national anthem like you've never heard before...
Vive la France !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
