The Last Two Weeks

"My" computer is still in the shop. My Mac's skills are still inexistent. But I know you're all anxious to know how we are doing. So here are some pictures (very unorganized) of the last two weeks.

Keld was able to finish is next project: the treasure box.

He also had fun with the snow...

He plowed for the neighbors as they are away and have asked us to take care of their house and pets. Since they give us money for the kids to do it, the kids have been helping too.

With the money they earned, Julia bought a dog and Kelden a computer.

We also watched Marley on Friday, well, we all fell asleep except Julia.

Julia and Kelden were home from school 3 days this week (2 because of the cold). Julia was very happy, even if she had extra homework after. She much prefers playing with me. Here we are, dressed as queen/princess:

Kelden wasn't the wonderful knight who saves the princess but the evil person who kidnaps her.
Of course, we also used their extra time to bake.

With them being home, it wasn't as easy to watch Zack and put him on the toilet when needed. He has progressed though, but we're not there yet.

And to finish, pictures of Granny Hayes, who turned 80 last Sunday. Julia was brave enough to walk with me to the Manor on a very cold day.

We also went skating yesterday but I need to look at the pictures and videos Keld took before posting them...

Winter Fun

"My" computer is in the shop for repairs for at least a couple of weeks and "Keld's" is not working well at all so it is going to be harder for me to blog.

Keld made us our own skating rink this year in our side yard. Maybe next year we'll do it in the front yard so it's bigger. Julia was the first one to try it out.

I went in the evening with Kelden who liked skating a lot better this time !

Last Tuesday we went sliding with some members of the ward. Our kids really enjoyed it, thanks Uncle Jeff and Auntie Becca for helping them!

We would have gone sliding again this week-end but the snow melted so we built a snowman instead.

This computer is definitely not my friend, I might have to wait for mine for next post...

Back to School

Kelden and Julia had to go back to school, not without crying, of course. Kelden told me he prefers momdays to schooldays. I am very flattered. Days with me are so fun, even if we work hard before we play.

The kids followed my routine; after the chores, exercise time !

And then, we're ready for the fun. Since it was the Christmas break, we decorated eggs. Makes perfect sense.

We played lots of games too.

We also bought activity kits: scrapbooking  for Julia and building for the boys (plane, train and car).

Julia also made bracelets.

We played outside as well, but not too long. By the time we were finished shovelling the snow, we were too cold.

Although we did go skating. I will post pictures of that next.

Finally !

Julia had to sleep on the floor for a few months, but it was worth the wait. Her bed is great!

Keld worked really hard on it. 

I love those big drawers !

Julia loves the shelves too !

Because it wasn't a pink princess bed (so it can last longer), we told her we would buy some pink stickers instead to decorate the room.

 We had to buy some for Kelden too, but, of course, not pink...

 He was very jealous of Julia, so Keld's next project is for him (and Zack): a treasure box. It shouldn't take long...
