Now that Julia is 12, she can enter the Temple! It is such a special privilege that we wanted her to experience it as soon as possible. We were able to bring her this past week-end.
Going to the temple can be a real expedition! But getting ready helps us teach the children about its importance. We prayed a lot and everything went well. The weather was fine (there was no snow when we left, it's all white now), Keld was able to take the Friday off (even if he has just started his new job), Special took Rocky (who gets quite excited with his cousins) and Sr Poirier watched the boys (it was really cold but she was able to go to the nursery in the Brampton chapel).
The baptistry was super busy (between the Priest/Laurel conference and the new members with missionaries). We had to stay in the marriage waiting room at first and Julia had to change in the nursery. She was happy to visit quite a few rooms of the Temple. A nice brother and a couple of sister missionaries were guiding us in that maze. A sister first told us that she could only do two names, but then a brother said that since we had brought family names, she could do 10. So she did and her reaction was: "Daddy needs to slow down and let me wipe my eyes once in a while!"
I think it was a great experience for her. Thank you everyone for your help!!
We can't wait togo back!
