Christmas Day

Finally ! I think the kids were happy. Ryan was a bit lost and didn't even open all his presents. We got gifts too from Special and Grandpa Bruce. We got socks, slippers and a vacuum for Rocky's hair !

We went to Special and Grandpa's for the feasts.

I went home to put Ryan for a nap and let Keld do dishes :)

Christmas Eve

We first celebrated on Monday with Aunt Tina's family. We went to the church and the kids enjoyed the space.

We tried to play the nativity. This year wasn't our best rendition. The kids, as one cousin said, could have been more reverent. We went home and talked about how we missed an opportunity to feel the Spirit as a family, with members and non-members alike. We sang some more hymns with Ryan conducting. He's not too young to learn respect and reverence for the one whom we celebrate this time of year.

On the actual Christmas Eve, we had Chinese food  (Zack's favorite!)

Merry Christmas everyone !

Christmas Music

We went to see Terri and her group of violinists with Granny at the Château Georgian. It was fun to sing Christmas song with some seniors.

We also went to the Timmins Symphony concert (well, Keld stayed with Ryan). Kelden was part of the kids' choir with Linda and Phoenix as well as Avenlea and Elianne.

We also went to the school concert. The videos were too long so I had to cut.

We were disappointed that not one of the songs was about Jesus this year. But we went caroling and and remedy that. We proved that children are still taught songs about Christ. Some of our neighbors were really touched by the Spirit it brings to sing His praise.

And tonight, we'll sing with the bells!

Sledding

Keld doesn't see his kids in the morning any more as he goes to seminary (he wakes them up when he leaves and comes back for prayer as they leave). And these past few months, he has been busy in the evenings with a couple of classes that he had to take for his work. His last assignments (for this round) were due on Sunday and I read hundreds of pages to be able to help him finish early enough so he could take the kids sledding on Saturday with the ward.

I think he actually enjoyed it just as much as the kids...

His next class is in January. We'll have to make the most of this break !
