In July, we went to the pool a lot. Kelden and Julia were working and Zack and Ryan had lessons.
Kelden taught his first lessons. He did a series of community lessons and a series of private lessons. He really enjoyed it (except maybe the paper work for the lesson plans and the report cards..)
Maybe he should have taught Ryan...
Zack did much better. After a full week, going to the pool all day, he got his Bronze Medallion!
We also went to Grandpa's pool.
Since both Julia and Kelden were working on Saturday, we went to the cottage on Friday. Kelden loves to wakeboard. Ryan likes tubing. Julia drives the jetskis. Zack prefers fishing. Keld said he would catch a fish on his first try and he did !
Whilie Julia was at her seminary graduation and Kelden at his lifeguard course, Zack, Ryan and I participated at an activity for new immigrants whose children attend one of the schools of the Conseil scolaire catholique de district des Grandes Rivières.
I was invited as I preside the parents' committee for that schoolboard but it was fun to be here as an "old immigrant" ! We shared about our cultures, went bowling and then we talked about the report regarding new immigrants and their challenges while the kids sip and painted.
It was fun!
