Happy Birthday Kelden !

Today, Kelden is turning 11.  We had a party a little bit early.

 

We celebrated with crêpes...

...and chocolate cake.

Kelden too was spoiled.

Happy Birthday Julia !

Julia is 13 today ! We celebrated a little bit earlier. Aunt Ashley made us all a macaroni and cheese casserole (Julia's favorite). And Special made a chocolate cake.

 

Julia was spoiled, as usual.

Happy Birthday To Me

I know, today is Julia's birthday but I turned 42 on Friday so I'm first. Granny told me that even doubling my age, I still don't beat her...

We had lasagna with salad and chocolate cake. At first, I had accepted Kelden's offer to help me blow the candles but this is not following proper étiquette so I tried again.

Special made sure the kids didn't blow the candles but Keld got them. So one last time.

I got lots of presents. Thank you !!

Thank you everyone who thought of me on my birthday. I missed some phone calls but I am very grateful that my friends still think of me even from far !

Halloween-Trick or Treat

We started trick or treating right after school by going to see Granny.

As you can see, Kelden had an outside costume and this time Ryan was a penguin. I remember very well when Julia was the penguin. It was 11 years ago (and a different great-aunt).

Seems like the weather was a lot better back then...Anyway, after supper, the kids went around the neighborhood. I tried to take pictures of them with the pumpkins outside but they were not in the mood.

The pumpkins were more cooperative.

I didn't get too many trick or treaters (8 in total). Here are my 2 favorite:

It was dark when they came back.

Ryan was very excited to get so much candy. The neighbor had made her traditional customized treat bags!
