Congratulations !

 Zack's birthday week was very rewarding. He got a silver medal in the chess tournament. (It's based on the number of games you have won, so he wasn't the only one with silver.)

He got another medal in basket ball. His team didn't win but he got one of the MVP awards !

And he again got first place at the music festival!

Kelden also won at the festival. His competition didn't show up but still...

Ryan was picked out to turn the valorisation wheel at the school. It's a new motivation system. He landed on "sit with whoever you want for a day" (although it turned out not to be whoever as he wasn't allowed to choose Zack :(

The fishing rod came with a bag so it is easy to bring when we go camping!

Happy Easter

 

Going to catholic schools, we start celebrating Easter quite a few weeks before Good Friday with Lent, Ash Wednesday, the Stations of the Cross, etc. Their rituals are different but our beliefs in Jesus and His resurecction are shared. 

On Good Friday, the kids went to decorate some eggs...

...while I built the Easter nest. We usually have a hard time finding a chick for it, the ones we find are very small, but this year, Keld got us a big one!

On Saturday, we had the Easter meal and a first egg hunt.

On Sunday, we had another hunt.

On Monday, we celebrated Ted's birthday.

We will celebrate Zack's tomorrow...

General Conference

 Last week-end was general conference. As usual, we chose our candies and our words. We almost picked "patriarcal blessing"  almost...

We also received a couple of cakes for breakfast :) Hard to get a picture of the chocolate one before it's all gone.

The neighbor who gives us the cakes always remembers Rocky.

Julia went skiing with her friend on Saturday so she had to catch up a session on Sunday morning.
