Kelden's 8 year old trip

Kelden's grand-parents took him to the States for a couple of weeks to celebrate his turning 8 this year. here are some pictures.

When the kids are in school, I have more time. Unfortunately, Keld doesn't. He still has been working hard on some projects lately. He's made some more shelves in the garage.

Which gives him more space to work on my projects :)

And he's been working on Kelden's birthday/Halloween gifts. No picture yet !

Happy Thanksgiving

Kelden doesn't like turkey (even the ones he cooks himself) so we went with chicken. I didn't think the kids would miss the vegetables. As for me, well, I'm not a fan of cranberries or pumpkin pie but I do like stuffing. So stuffing it was.

Seeing my face as I tasted it, Julia commented to her father: "She's just disappointed because Special has talent and she doesn't." That's right. But I had to try, that's how you learn. I know now what to do-or not to do- for next time. It's a good thing Thanksgiving is not about a meal.

I went to the kids' Thanksgiving celebration on Friday. Julia's class was directing the show.

Kelden wouldn't stand still. I guess he was already way too excited for his trip. Looks like he's having a great time!

15 years happier !

My dad says we look better now than 15 years ago. I guess the happier you are, the older you look.

Linda Turned 8

We came back on time for Linda's 8 year old party and baptism.

Kelden is pretty excited to be next!

A Good Week

After stake conference, where the children assembled 1000 coloring kits for hospital waiting rooms,

Keld and I went to the temple. 15 years minus 15 days!

We could only do one session as it didn't start until 5.15 and we had to go to Niagara Falls. However, before the session, we got a special tour from the president himself! I got to touch Moroni and Keld liked all the mechanical rooms. It was worth it, thanks to all who helped so we can go !


So, as I said, we went to Niagara Falls for a work conference. Here's our hotel view, by day and by night.

For those of you wondering about your taxpayer money, don't worry, they got a conference deal!

Keld was, of course, busy during the day, but we visited a bit in the evenings.

We came back late Friday night and early Saturday morning, Kelden had a cross country meet. He did his best, as you can see.

 He's going to Opishing this week. Good luck !

Back to School and Back to Work !

All the kids have now started school.

Since they're all there, I'm going too! I started last week as a lunch monitor. I "monitor" one hall (4 classes, but there is a lady in one of them, so 3 classes) for half an hour while they eat and then I "monitor" for another half hour while they play outside.

The kids are also back to piano. Julia started when she was turning 7, Kelden when he was turning 6, so Zack started, now that he is 5!

 He was pretty excited for his first lesson. Let's hope he keeps his enthusiasm !
