Temple Trip

For his first trip out of town, Ryan came with us to the Temple. He traveled pretty well.

We arrived in the middle of a storm, with one windshield wiper. Quite a few trees fell, even at the Temple.

It was nicer the next day, still cold and very windy, especially in the morning, but we were able to take a few pictures.

I went for 3 sessions. I felt really old at the last one: only one person was older than me! That's what happens when you're 40 I guess..or maybe it's because we were only 9... still...The Temple wasn't busy (which was good because Keld and I were able to switch fast); everybody was next door with Brother Ballard who came for some training.
Keld only did one session; he thought he could more easily entertain Ryan (by going to visit Brother Mc Ginn for example).

The other 3 kids were with Aunt Ashley and Uncle James. They had lots of fun too, thank you!!

And Rocky was with Special and Grandpa Bruce. Apparently, his cousins finally warmed up to him. He sure likes their playground! Thank you so much! Hopefully he will be fully trained next time.

I can't wait to go back!

Music Festival

This year again the kids participated in the music festival. Zack sang once in French, Julia and Kelden sang once in French and once in English.

This is Kelden, with the 3rd and 4th graders, singing about answering machines.

This is Julia, with the 5th and 6th graders, singing: I Ask For One Day.

This is Zack, with 1st and 2nd graders, singing: Voudriez-vous bel oiseau?

Kelden singing: Par enchantement.

Julia singing: Vois sur ton chemin from the French movie Les Choristes.

Kelden also participated in the category: Piano, 9 years and under. There were only two to compete in that category and Kelden won.

Julia participated in the category: Piano, Grade 2. It was her first time participating in piano and she was quite disappointed that she made mistakes. We were still proud of her for going and learning to manage her stress!!

Bravo to them and thank you to all those who encouraged them in any way!

Happy Birthday Keld!

Keld turned 38 today and we thank all those who helped brighten his day.
For tonight, Ashley cooked, Mom baked and all the guests had to put up with the still-in-training puppy.

Happy Birthday !!

Rocky

Who knew we would have a boy last year? Would knew we would have a dog this year?

Of course, Keld would have had a dog before, although, he never really asked for one until he saw this picture:

He wanted the black one. Chances of getting him being slim, I said why not. And then, it made me think. Keld's family would never be complete without an animal. So we went to pick one out.

Keld wanted a male. Julia's won.

He had to stay with his parents for the first 8 weeks.

We brought him home on Monday.

He cries at night, he pees everywhere..a real baby...we like it when he's asleep!

He's going to love spring as he likes being outside (although he can't walk for too long right now).
