Music Festival

The 3 oldest participated once again this year in the annual Porcupine Music Festival. It was the second time for piano for Julia. She gets really nervous so she didn't play as well as she could have but she still did OK. She was disappointed because she was 4 out 4 but for us, she was the best!

Zack did the opposite and played his song better than he had at home :) He got 1st place with a grade of 90.

Kelden made one mistake (well, only one obvious to me) but I thought the rest was pretty good. The adjudicator must have thought the same because he won 1st (out of three) with 89.

Kelden and Zack were part of their school's choirs. Only two boys in Kelden's choir this time.

At the end, the adjudicator had all three older choirs on the stand for a little lesson. I was already out at that point (Ryan, after over an hour, was not cooperating) but Sister Carr-Lawton found a picture for me in the Daily Press.

Happy Birthday Ross !

Ross turned 2  yesterday. We were invited to his duck party.

As you  can tell, Julia  took most of the pictures and she missed the song!

It was fun. Thank you and happy birthday  Ross !!

March Break

Before March break, the kids had a few carnival days at school.

They played a bit outside during March break.

      

But we mostly stayed inside with the dogs. We even met a new one, Daisy.

Basketball and Other Sports

Kelden  made his school's basketball team (more because they  needed 12 boys and only 12 were interested than because of his skills, but  still, he was proud). They had a little tournament with the other schools in town. They won their first  two matches and lost the next two. Good balance for them.

 

The kids  also play  outside,  although I  am not sure jumping off the roof is  a sport..

This past  week-end, we were in Sudbury. The kids played  inside and outside as well.

Next  week,  even more fun,  with March break.

Happy Birthday Rocky !

Rocky turned 1 yesterday and we had a little party for him, with guests, candle and presents!

I think Ivy would have  declined the invitation, but  Marley thought the treats  were  worth it.

Rocky liked his new bones.

It's hard to take a picture of the birthday boy without Ryan..
