Zack had two birthdays under COVID restrictions and so he was happy this time to be able to invite extended family. We went to the church as he wanted to play hide and seek with his gifts and have a NERF war.

General Conference Week-End
I was proud this week-end of general conference because this time, I remembered the big coloring page (and I even knew where I had put it!)
Julia didn't help, she made her own drawings...

The Festival
Both Kelden and Zack participated in the Porcupine Music Festival. They each played one song on the piano and each of them got first place!
Granted, Kelden had no competition :) He was the only one playing a level 6 song. Most of the people his age are in a higher level than him (although it is hard to tell as the level 7 people were playing Fur Elise, which is in his level 6 book..) It doesn't matter, we are very proud! He can now play many hymns without practicing first.
Zack, on the contrary, had a lot of competition. He was "against" 4 others in his group and then I think 5 other children played the same song in another group. I guess they divided it so it wouldn't be too long for parents to wait. Zack got the best mark of all of them. It's problably because it was a song that is under level 1 (Prep B) and so most of the players have just started piano while Zack has already 6 years of practice under his belt...

The song was so long that we had to make it double speed to be able to post it. He can't play it that fast yet, obviously, but it's still pretty good!

Primary Activity
The Primay organised outside activities at church last Saturday.
I had to stay home with Ryan who was sick. Yes, again! It kind of ruined the vacation week and the back to school week as he contaminated everyone. Keld tested himself and it doesn't seem to be COVID but, for us, it's worse.

Snowshoeing
Keld took a couple of days off to be with the kids a little bit during March break. He brought us snowshoeing at the cottage. Well, Ryan didn't need snowshoes but (as you will see in the pictures) the rest of us sure did.
