Keld was able to take a whole week off (this hadn't happened in over a year). He went hunting with Uncle Jim and one of his friends. Here are the pictures:

We have gone through one week of school (in itself a miracle) and I am beginning to think that there isn't going to be a routine for us this year. Sometimes they walk, sometimes they get a ride, sometimes they come back for lunch, sometimes they don't, sometimes we walk with them, sometimes we don't, etc.
Julia has seminary every morning at 7 but that might also change when they start doing it face to face.
She is supposed to have lunch with the Grade 10 students but she doesn't know any of them so she has decided to come home for lunch. She only has 40 minutes so it's pretty quick, especially if Keld can't pick her up. In a couple of months, when she is back with Grade 9 students, she might stay at school.
Kelden comes home for lunch every day, except for Wednesday (because he goes to piano). He has almost an hour and is the closest. He is home first in the afternoon, Julia ends earlier but she's further and she keeps walking until she meets us.
Zack walks home from school every day but in the morning, sometimes, Keld gives him and Kelden a ride.
Ryan has been missing his siblings. There's only the dog to play with and no one to clean up the messes everywhere...oh wait, there's me !
Today, he found a backpack and said he was going to school. He was a bit upset when I said he couldn't. Soon enough, soon enough!
This year, we have three kids going to three different schools. Julia started high school yesterday.
She is starting with gym and grade 10 history (instead of the French she did this summer). This year, with all the sanitary precautions, they are not working on a semester basis but are using the quadrimester system (2 subjects every two months).
She got an agenda and a T-shirt and she seems happy. Real classes are starting today! She also started seminary today. They are doing it online for now.
Kelden is starting in a new school too this year (where Julia was).
Zack is staying in the same school but this time he is by himself and not taking the bus. They were all supposed to walk when starting Grade 4 (as our house is only 1.2 km away) but they always got a special permission to ride with the little brother(s). With all the sanitary precautions, I didn't think we'd get a permission (no little brother until next year) and Zack agreed it was probably the easiest/safest. Keld drove him this morning but we'll walk tomorrow.
Zack got a new principal and she seems to be quite the decorator! I hope they are all having a good day and don't mind the mask too much.
Ryan is doing all right but he really wanted to go with them:
Soon enough, soon enough :)
I have already mentioned about the challenge of the scavenger hunt with the prophet. The Primary president had given us a prophet to bring with us everywhere. She had a list of activities we could do with him: play a game, play outside, read scriptures, give service, have a picnic, cook, be with family, be funny, be in a special place, shadow/reflection, etc. My favorite was cleaning your room :)
Today, we got our reward for completing the challenge as Sr Neher came with a trunk full of prizes!
We are ready for the next challenge!
