Aunt Alli's mom has heard of the epiphany tradition in Mexico and now celebrates it the way they do. Like in France, they use pastries and fèves. Their pastries are different and more oval than round but still in shape of a crown as it celebrates the Wise Men (who are called kings in spanish - and in french too for that matter.) Well, that's the way I interpret it but it is also a symbol of God's love (that has no beginning nor end.) Apparently, they put more than one fève but they only use baby Jesus (while we traditionnally use the whole manger scene and nowadays about anything we want.)
So while the youth were out playing in the snow, we looked for the babies.
Then we played Pie Face.
Ryan definitely made a new friend this week!
