Christmas Holidays

The Christmas holidays are almost over. Kelden had high expectations, worried it might be his last Christmas vacation home. I think he had a good time. He started by going cross-coutry skiing with some friends (including twins who are pro at this; they win medals..)

We also enjoyed the snow while sliding with the cousins.

But then we had the biggest snowstorm since I've moved to Canada (Keld's work was closed) so it wasn't as much fun. We had to be careful and the boys went shoveling...

We stayed inside, played games and ate good food. Julia brought us a new game she learned in Idaho and Keld found me an almost frozen bûche. I still can't find the kind they sell in France but this was close enough!

And, of course, they went snowmobiling. Zack took his license online.

And now, it's over (well, tomorrow is a snowday so...) Julia is back in the States. Another eventful flight.

Thanks for the warm welcome Utah family! Happy semester Julia and Jordan!

Happy New Year !

We ended the year by buying two snowmobiles. For her Grade 12, Julia went running at Disney. Kelden chose a new winter sport!

We had poutine for New Year's Eve.

We started New Year's Day with pains au chocolat and ended with bûches.

Matching nails...
