Summer Vacation: Week One

I think the kids had a good summer start. The weather has been really great, which has allowed us to go to the pool and to the parks almost every day.

We went to the cottage too, after Kelden and Julia's piano exams. Zack wasn't feeling great.

Julia and Kelden actually did pretty good on their piano exams. At least I think so :)
Julia got 87 and Kelden 88.

This week, we also went to cheer Linda (she wasn't done school yet).

On Thursday, Julia attended a babysitting course. She is also learning to cook more and has been watering our garden as Keld has been too busy with Stars and Thunder.

We also like to read during the vacation. This year, we are stealing Julia's teacher's idea: 1 page = 1 km. We have decided to go to Italy, which means we need to read 6 914 pages. This first week, we have read 968 pages.  We definitely need to keep up that speed if we want to make it before school starts!

8 months - 4 months

This past week, Ryan turned 8 months and Rocky 4. Ryan might be double his age, at 20 pounds, he's much lighter than the dog.

Ryan can now sit longer on his own.

He can stand up too, but only in the exersaucer.

He is a lot better at tummy time than his siblings were. The problem is..the dog.

He can now roll over both ways (which wakes him up at night). And he has also started to eat more solid food. Not enough, I guess, since even if  he still eats at night, he needs to eat his feet..

Party Time With and Without Tata Carole

On our way to Niagara Falls, we stopped to the Piorczinsky's to feed Ryan. It was an impromptu visit but it was fun. We got to meet Cousin Ben's wife (Alex) and her Mom!

On our way back, we stayed at Cousin Lee's.

It was nice to see them all!!

Happy Father's Day

It goes without saying (literally, I didn't say it yesterday in my talk because it is so obvious) Keld is the best dad our kids could ever wish for.

Julia made him a plate.

Zack made him a card and a man out of stone.

Kelden hadn't been in school for two weeks so he hadn't made anything.

Keld prepared himself his father's day lunch (that way I don't ruin it).

We went for a traditional cemetery tour.

We waited for Grandpa to come home.

Happy Father's day!

Happy Birthday Auntie Becca

I wasn't able to attend the party but I had send my cameragirl.

I hope Beca had a good day. It certainly was one of the warmest days of the year!
