Learn at Home (Week 10)

We are starting week 10 of learning at home. By now, the kids are pretty well settled into their routines. They know how to navigate the computer tools and manage their time to get it all done (although Julia still likes last minute work..). She's found yet another spot to study (or daydream).

The boys' sports and arts teachers came back (only to disappear again this week). They weren't very inspired by the art but we had fun meeting the different sports' challenges. There was even a choice for mother's day. We took the easiest, I think.

There was a lot of yoga videos but the boys found it hard, even with coach Julia.

Last week, they did some of the socks challenges.

For Julia, I have pictures of her latest art project, drawing animals without raising your pen.

Her next project is on photography. She has also helped Kelden on one of his project. He had to write a newspaper article and then make a presentation about it. It's in French, but it's about the Iranians retaliating in Irak. Kelden is first the anchorman and then he is an army general (but I don't think you need to know French to get that :)

We still have 4 more weeks of learning at home!

Where's Kelden?

Kelden likes to wear his camouflage outfit when we go for adventures. He gets to hide pretty well. See if you can find him in the pictures.

It's hard!

May Long Week-End

This week-end, for our Saturday adventure, we went to High Falls. There is still quite a bit of snow and ice. It was our first time and we thought it was fun!

Since Monday was a day off, we went on another adventure. We went to Nickie's trails. As the snow is melting, there is lots of water, but the boys were prepared!

Back to school now (well, you know what I mean).

If she could, she would draw all day. I wish she had that much enthusiasm about cleaning her room. It looks nice when it's done..

Anyone else organizes their clothes in the rainbow order?

Happy Mother's Day!

The weather is rarely nice for Mother's Day but we still went on a little adventure on Saturday.

For Mother's Day, Kelden made me a chocolate cake. He had helped with the decorating. I also got chocolates from members of the Church.

Julia, with some help from Keld, made me a frame.

Zack offered me a picture shoot. Unfortunately, it was only one and Ryan wasn't cooperating. I tried all day to take more pictures, of the kids together and of me with each kid, but without great success.

Ryan was in a better mood the next day..

We'll try when it's nicer outside.
