Father's Day

For Father's Day, our Primary leaders had dropped off what was needed to make cookies and coupons. Zack is offering hugs, kisses, cookies, bike rides and more...

Keld got himself a bike. Well..Kelden needed a bike and he was jealous. Now, Julia also needs a bike, so I'm not sure he really got a bike for himself after all...

On Father's Day, as is tradition, we went to visit the graves.

Happy Father's Day !

Julia's Graduation

Julia graduated from Sacré-Coeur.

They had a video-conference with a presentation that included videos and slideshows. It didn't really work because the internet was slow but the teacher sent it to us later and we were able to see it all.

Her teacher made a special certificate for each student. Julia was chosen as the most studious (which made us laugh...if we're not behind her every minute, there is no studying going on!!)

Then, there was a special recognition for those who did good during the learning at home phase. Julia was one of the three chosen from her class (the worst class it looked like).

For all that studying, she didn't get the $100 reward for those with a 90+ average but she did get the Caisse Populaire award which recompenses students who have interest and participate in visual arts projects. $50 ! She was so happy !!

I was also proud that she decided to share her talent and participate in creating a video/song to celebrate this last year. Only a few students joined in but I think it turned out OK. Julia is the one drawing so you don't see her. She drew the bull (the school mascot) with a tear and it says : You're already leaving? Then she draws symbols of everything they do at the school (science, chess, etc.) She ends with the logo of their next school.

In the afternoon, the teachers were at the school and the students could come and take pictures.

It was a hot day..

And she's off to high school! She starts July 2nd with French. She decided to do summer school this year to get ahead and take more arts or beauty classes later...Good luck!

Learn at Home- Last Week

This is the last week of school for the kids. Kelden was pretty upset to see how much homework he still had. It isn't that much, but usually, they don't work their last week (or so he says).
Here are some of their latest projects.

In French, Julia worked on wrappers (?) and she had to wrap a product. She chose something that is definitely her style...

In science, she had to make a Goldberg machine using the three types of levers she had learnt about.

This inspired the boys.

In tech, Julia had to choose a tool and talk about safety measures. Zack filmed, I held the prompter and Keld got us the tool :)

Zack had to build an amusement park and make a card to say goodbye.

Kelden made a lot of great Power Point presentations for science and French (about sea turtles, purple salicaria, the history of war planes, biodiversity, etc). I don't have pictures for that but I will have plenty of pictures of Kelden soon (if it fits).

Talent Show

For the seminary graduation they had a talent show. Kelden, Julia and Keld sent a video of one of their talents.

Our ward was very well represented. It was fun to watch.

Ryan- 32 months

Ryan will be 32 months next week. He is talking a little more but I tried to film him and no words were coming out, so progress is still slow...but we usually end up understanding what he wants. Right now, all he wants is to go outside.

We have finally given him a haircut.

He looks like his brothers and he likes it. He tries to imitate them in everything. Biking:

Piano:

He doesn't play Star Wars yet, but it will come...

Archie's Rock

Knowing that the bugs are out right now, we decided to do a small adventure this week-end. We went around a rock. Well, Ryan and I circled around, the others actually climbed it (Ryan could only go so far).

The kids can't wait to go back when the bugs are gone!

Zack's Spring

As soon as the snow is melted, Zack gets his bike out.

And if he's not on his bike, he takes his dog.

He also likes the water outside.

We went to get his things from school so here are some of his chefs d'oeuvre.

I can't say he misses school...
