Boxing Day

Before going to church to eat with Granny Hayes, the kids went sliding (poor Zack didn't go, still too sick). Their new sleds are not super fast, probably because they don't hold on to the rope...

So they tried backwards.

And then other things:

I thought I could film the "other way" but apparently I can't. So for the following video, please turn your head, or screen, sideways.

After the fun outside, we went inside to  refuel with a Boxing Day meal supervised by Uncle Jim and Aunt Tina.

Granny opened her gifts...

..and the kids chased Carter around for a while.

Sliding definitely isn't enough to tire them out...

Christmas Day

Julia was up at 2, ready and all excited. I wasn't ready yet (I don't think I've slept more than two hours in a row in over a month) and her sick brothers weren't either. I let her go a little bit before 7.

She was happy to get what she had asked for: a guitar !

She also got a giant coloring book.

The boys came after, not as ready and excited but still looking sick...

Kelden got a guitar and a giant activity book too. But what he really wanted was a microphone.

They also all got magazines.

Zack got a marble tower.

This year the parents also got something! Keld bought himself  Despicable Me 2 and I inherited Grandpa's Ipad (well, we put my name on the gift so I would have control :).

We spent the day at Grandpa Bruce and Special's. Uncle James likes the bacon at breakfast..

We also opened gifts there.

The kids all got sleds (I'm holding Zack's, he's been sick and therefore not in a good mood all week)

We hope everybody had a good Christmas !

Christmas Eve

We went to Special and Grandpa Bruce tonight for Chinese food.

Special read the kids President Monson's Christmas train story.
