Gym with Zack

Zack is downstairs and we go down every once in a while to say hi, to watch his presentations, to see the different teachers and especially to participate in his gym class. Like last year, his teacher is using the "socks-challenges" (from a teacher in France), she also makes them dance and practice yoga. It's a lot of fun.

It's also very tiring ;)

Julia's New Looks

After three consultations and three different stores, Julia got a new prescription and two new pairs of glasses.

She knew exactly what style she wanted and I think she's happy!

Sun and Snow

Friday was a pdday and the kids were very lucky as it was super sunny (it went up to 17 degrees!) We went outside lots, of course, and the boys would wait for us in the shade.

Saturday, the temperature went down but we still were able to go for a dangerous adventure at Hersey Lake. Last time we went, I remember, there was a table with food for birds and we were talking about how we were told that feeding birds in the winter wasn't helping them (especially temporary feeders.) We didn't think that it was also a bad idea because of bears! We weren't worried though because Spiderman was with us!

Sunday, the snow was back.

It's ok, kids have to be back inside for school (for a full week this time!)

Back to School at Home

After a sunny Sunday and a playful Monday while teachers get ready...

...it's back to snow and school at home! We set up like last time. Zack is in the basement with his COVID-binder and chocolates.

Kelden is in the kitchen (he needs a big table!) He, and the others, continue to do piano online.

Julia is in her room. Like last time, she unfortunately doesn't have the same lunch time as the others. On Tuesday she had to go get her books so she ate in front on the screen.

She has started her last quadmester. She now has Sciences and English. Since the boys don't like using headphones and do participate quite a bit as well, Keld, who also needs to talk a lot, decided to use the garage as his office.

Ryan is left with his bedroom and the living room with me.

He does enjoy playing with his siblings during recess (and they all have recess at a different time) and, like last time, we participate in Zack's gym class (pictures and videos to follow.)

April Break

Usually, the kids have a March break but it was postponed and the break was last week. I had hoped that would mean better weather but, in fact, only the first day was very sunny. Good thing we enjoyed it.

Since it was colder after, we had time for some reading. I read Treasure Island from  R. L. Stevenson to the boys, in French, as Zack is into pirates. We finished it on Friday and they decided to watch the movie after during our sleepover.

We also played some board games. We got a Scrabble and we've been playing with my sisters. Then my mom joined us (needless to say, we're losing now!)

And, of course, we baked a little bit...(Keld had a sore mouth but the cake was good!)

During the break, the government announced that the kids wouldn't go back to school in person but switch to online at home. The party continues !
