Sleepover

Grandpa Bruce and Special had a sleepover last Friday.

Not surprisingly, Ryan was the last one to fall asleep and last one to get up.

They spent the Saturday morning doing crafts.

They had a lot of fun. Thank you!

Progress Reports

We received the boys' progress reports. Julia's will take longer as it is sent by mail (they don't trust the youth!) We already have an idea of how she is doing though, pretty good except that one bad test dropped her science average a bit...She says that's what happens when she studies with her mom! The semester is not over and she has been doing better (not mixing up formulas any more...)

Other than that, she finally belongs to the Art club and still goes to "Reach for the top." She also tries to participate in the different activities such as theme days, like tie-dye:

Participating can be rewarding! She's earned two breakfasts so far.

By the way, Zack and Ryan now get breakfast at their school every morning!  Zack and Kelden are doing great. Their grades are good and they enjoy the different activities. The cross country season was pretty short and they can't wait for next year's.

Kelden does his science work with his dad (smart boy.)

And he's definitely better at baking than his mom...

I don't have many pictures for Zack. He was dark blue for the rainbow last Friday so that's one:

Ryan was red:

Ryan is by far the last of his class even if the teacher assures me he's not the only one who can't write his name yet. He can't write, he can't draw, he can't color and he can't count.

The teacher is not worried and is actually pretty happy with his progress as far as the routine goes. She says he's been a lot better lately. He follows the directives more willingly and he's "so cute and smart."

Hunting Trip

Zack and Kelden went on their first hunting trip with their dad. They accompanied Uncle Jim and his son Carter and hunted deer at Uncle John's farm in Thunder Bay. The boys really enjoyed the tractors, the animals and the giant fires!

The hunters were actually successful this year. Uncle Jim got two deer.

Also, Kelden turned 13 while he was away!

They definitely had a great time !
