Busy Saturday

 Keld is always pretty busy on Saturdays but he still tries to have some fun with the kids. Last week-end, he helped Julia cook pasta and fry churros and enjoyed making a fort with the boys.

Snowday !

 We had our first snowday of the civil year (but like the 10th for the school year.) One of the first things to do during those days is to shovel of course.

But we mostly stayeinside, in bed if possible. Reading, watching and of course baking are the favorite activities.

 I was able to stay with them except for the lunch hour as schools are opened and I go as a monitor. We were given new masks this week...not sure they fit me better.

Online School 2

 Rocky definitely loved online school.

Maybe almost as much as Julia, even if she didn't have easy subjects to study at home, like science, we don't have a lab, or arts, we don't have all the needed materials. Her last project , for example, required quite a few tools.

 

She had to use her artistic talent in English as she was asked to draw a scene from A Merchant of Venice.

Kelden likes online school too as he enjoys working on projects alone. He's comparing the human cell to the army (he still wants to become an intelligence officer.)

Zack doesn't mind online school either. He had to make a colored inukshuk out of ice (each color representing a Christlike attribute.)

He lets me participate in sports with him and I make him nice snacks..

Ryan preferred joining Zack doing push-ups and salutations to the sun than attending his own classes... He still can't count or read any letter. He doesn't hold his pencil right either. Worse, he still changes hand ! So any writing, coloring, drawing, etc. is very hard for him. 

The few activities he liked included the use of scissors.

I know he doesn't like either or but I'd say Ryan prefers online school as he can sleep longer. 

Keld, on the other hand, didn't like staying in the garage this time as it was a very cold week and even with hot chocolate, he wasn't warm enough..

Online School

 We've been back to school for a week now. Well, I started on the Wednesday and had to be at the school for the whole day (without teachers or students.) It was pretty quiet. 

Since we have another online student this time (plus me for my last two days) we had to make more room. Keld designed a mobile desk for Kelden who can now stay in his bedroom!

Zack is still in the basement and Julia in her room.

That way, Ryan can have the kitchen.

He shared me with me for a couple of days. The lady I have been replacing was back on Monday.

The principal wanted to give me other tasks but I said I couldn't do it online as I have to help Ryan (and not just for the work..he's been having so many technical problems I actually changed computers...)

Epiphany

 All the boys talked about the Wise Men on Thursday at school. Ryan and Zack were shown videos about their journey (with Legos) and Ryan's class talked about traditions around the world and specifically about the fèves. Her teacher was happy to learn that our family still perpetuates that tradition.

Kelden got the first one and gave it to Ryan as it was Spiderman. 

Vacation is over

We have already started school again (even if online only.)  I think we enjoyed the time off. We had fun outside but inside too. We played quite a few board games (and Zack is definitely our champion!), made new and favorite recipes, had a shooting competition, watched movies, etc.
