Christmas Day

 The big day finally arrived.

Zack got what he wanted (a NERF-style gun), Julia got the next best thing on her list (an iwatch), Ryan received some toys and Kelden got a game he had asked for a long time ago...

Keld and I were spoiled too, by Grandpa and Special and the kids and the neighbors and members and others. I am amazed at how much I have received from teachers and students. I didn't take pictures of everything, but it's definitely making me want to continue! 

As you have noticed, Grandpa Bruce and Special came for a little visit in the morning.

We were able to test Kelden's drone's pictures. After that, I made some Christmas logs while Keld took care of the turkey (offered by one of our neighbors). This year, Special made stuffing for us. Thank you!!!

Last year, we ate late, this year, we were early. It was great !

Christmas Eve

 We had a simple Christmas Eve while still trying to keep some family traditions. Unfortunately, the kids are not so excited about recreating the Nativity without Special. It is also not as glamorous without the "real" costumes. We did our best anyway!

We then had our candlelit dinner.

Another tradition is getting a cake from one of our neighbors (thanking Keld for plowing.) This year it was Red Velvet. 

Ready for the big day!

One Week Before Christmas !

 We still have one week before the big day, but it already feels like Christmas. We participated to the tree lighting at Ryan and Zack's school at the end of November. The choir was singing and the teachers waved at the cars passing by.

Julia decorated our tree during one of the snow days. We've already had 8 of those, I think.

We put up some more decorations, which Ryan uses as costumes.

We also have Christmas music as Kelden has been practicing for school and church...

and good food...

As you can see, we have started to get some presents. I even got a couple from kids at school !

At school, we've been dressing up every day this past week; sparkles, Sunday best, present, etc. One day was Christmas characters and Zack and I teamed up to be a Wise woman with her camel.  

Only two more school days!!

Sliding

 We went sliding for the first time this season.
