Last Day Before School !!

We've been enjoying the last days before school. For example, we went to the kayak challenge on Saturday. The kids tried a Beaver Tail for the first time.

It brought back memories of skating on the canal in Ottawa. Anyway, other fun stuff were the firemen truck, the farm animals, the bouncy castles and the laser tag (which actually collapsed onto the boys..oups).

We also went swimming today, again! Zack has decided last Thursday that he could swim like the others, head in the water! I am very impressed, even if, of course, it's only a beginning.

We have also been trying to clean up the house and find some order so we can start the new routine...

 I think most of the clean up will be for me, when they are in class! Just so that I stay busy and don't miss them too much:)

Happy Birthday Aunt Emmy !

When I think of Aunt Emmy, I think of fruits, so I was all ready to make a cake with fruits but...I made a mistake...a big mistake (I didn't separate the eggs). Since I didn't want to waste anything I took it all and made a brownie instead. Sorry. To compensate, there are at least 3 different fruits in the picture (not sure you will find them though).

I tried to take lots of pictures this summer so I would have pictures of the birthday people that wouldn't have been posted yet, but they are all in my dead computer... Oh well...

We hope you're having a great birthday Emmy !!

One More Week

Julia, Kelden and Zack are starting school next week, so no more cottage until then !! It's okay, we were there all Saturday. Julia was up before six, but I made her wait until we could hear some noise.

We worked real hard between repairs and the garden.

Maybe Special worked harder in the garden, but we all enjoyed it.
Lots of us went for a ride to the tower and then to the beaver dam.

It was supposed to be hot, but I didn't think it was that warm.

Some brave souls did go on a tube ride. It was supposed to be a leisure ride, since Julia is not so adventurous and Zack is only four...

...but it became a crazy ride when Uncle Jeff decided to join them.

Julia recovered from being dunked twice, but I'm not sure she'll go again...

We'll know next year !

The Pictures I Have Left

My computer crashed last week. I can't even turn it on any more. Keld was going to back up the pictures but it happened before he was able to do it, so I've lost all the pictures I have taken this year. The computer is still under warranty, so maybe it will get fixed, or I'll get a new one with no way to recuperate the pictures. I was going to post the last pictures of the family together, but I only have the ones that I hadn't deleted off my camera.

Julia has been posing for me (to refill my picture library I guess ;) She told me to take me with the sunset, with her brothers, etc.

I wish she had been more cooperative when we took the family pictures !

Oh well...

All Together

Special came back with Jordan's family and so all the brothers have been together.
