Happy Halloween !!

We left for City Hall...

...and we made it !

We even went to the Mayor's office !

Only saw his secretary though...

Zack really feels comfortable at his dad's desk.

We then went home to get ready for even more Halloween fun!
Julia was Merida.

Zack was a frog.

Kelden, after trying everything, kept Spiderman.

Our neighbours really spoil our kids. Some who knew they were going to work tonight even gave them special bags yesterday !

Once again, Halloween was fun (and scary apparently for Zack) !

Now, let's celebrate some birthdays !!

Halloween at the School

After putting Julia and Kelden on the bus, Zack and I also got ready to go to the school. Their entrance is full of pumpkins:

We first went to Julia's class for a group picture as I knew they would be dressed already. I took the pictures while singing O Canada (if you wonder why some of the kids have their mouths wide open!).

Then we went to help Kelden put his costume on. I was worried Zack would want to wear Kelden's costume, but no (I'm beginning to notice that when we're not home he is a lot better than when we're home!). I had brought Zack's costume, in case, and he did put it on...for two minutes. Oh well..hopefully tonight he will do better.

He was proud to be with his big brother and his big sister.

Since the parade wasn't until 9.30, I was able to attend Kelden's morning routine (prayer, calendar, weather -they say it's not cold when it's 4 degrees, this will make my family laugh!) And during the last few minutes, we sang some songs. Kelden is pretty good at that ;)

Then we went to the gym for the parade.

Olders go first.

I couldn't film everything, but here is a sample of some of the other costumes.

The teachers also participated in the parade.

Next Halloween party is at Keld's work, if we make it there alive...

Trunk Or Treat

Today was Trunk or Treat at the church. We decorated our trunk with freshly carved pumpkins. Keld is pretty good at carving pumpkins, probably because it involves tools.

His pumpkins (I did help a bit) are on the left, Mom's in the center and Ashley's on the right. I think we all did a great job !

After the carving session, we went back home and got ready in our costumes. This year, I wanted to be a ghost, so we decided Keld would be a Ghostbuster :)

Kelden went as Simon.

Julia is Merida this year (from Brave). They are super-lucky to have a Grandma who can and will sew for them !! Excellent job once again !!

Zack reluctantly agreed to be a frog. I think of all the choices he had, he liked the word "grenouille" best.

The three of them:

And here's the whole family !

As usual, it was cold (and snowy) so we didn't last too long.

But we had fun anyway !

We're all ready for Halloween now...

Julia started piano lessons last month. This is what she can already do.

She's quite proud.

Thanksgiving

We had a good long week-end for Thanksgiving. The kids were ready for a break. They brought their drawings home all excited.

We had turkey dinner on Saturday at Grandpa and Special's. Thank You !!!

On Sunday, we rested, of course, and appreciated something we are super grateful for: chocolate :)

We had breakfast at Grandpa and Special's on Monday morning.

We went back for supper, after another long nap for Kelden...

But today, his teacher told me that after all his nap, he was still tired...can't wait for the holidays...

Happy Birthday Sawyer !!

This year for Sawyer I decided to make a BIG S with mini cookies.

I know she can't read, but I'm sure her parents will get it.
She might enjoy the video more !

We hope you're having a great birthday !!

Joyeux Anniversaire !!!
