Done School

Ryan was the last one to finish school.

I was his teacher for the last four weeks and I have to say, I love working long-term before Christmas and the end of June. I got lots of gifts ! Even a couple of kids from my lunch hour gave me chocolate!!!

It was quite busy! We went to mass, to the museum, had a camping day and an animal day (I let them bring a stuffed animal even if it didn't fit in their backpack!) 

I took advantage of my time there to continue learning new skills. I can now use the laminator and create games on the interactive board. Yes, I am pretty proud of myself. 

Father's Day

Julia gave a talk on Father's Day and we went to the cemeteries with Special and Grandpa. I need to bring a journal next time so I can write down the funny (and not so funny) stories they tell us each time!

Zack's Awards Ceremony

Every year, they change how they do the grade 8 awards ceremony. Right now, they are trying to make it less formal (in order to keep the focus on the grade 12 ceremony) so Zack wanted to go in pjs... 

Zack received a medal for all the subjects in which he had a grade of 90% or more (almost everything but art.)

Prime Minister and Awards Ceremony

After a relatively short campaign and a fiery speech, Kelden was elected Prime Minister for his school.

Julia had made him some posters. 

We are also proud of his good grades. Again this year, Kelden was awarded the plaque for keeping an average above 90%. He also received the accounting award. 

And Julia finally fot the medal she had won last year. She is the only one, so far, to get an award in sports. Maybe Zack will follow in their footsteps...

Track for Zack

 Zack made his school's track team and participated in their only meet. Every time, for the 100m, 200m and 400m, he did better than last time.

 He finished 3rd for the 100m.

4th for the 200m.

5th for the 400m.

And first for the relay, 4X100m.

 Here are the pictures from May that I hadn't posted yet. 

I am now teaching in Ryan's class and Julia helped us decorate the door. Kelden had a last track meeting (NEOAA) and I think I have already mentioned the fact that Zack has joined the athletic teams Real North Athletics and he practices with them when he can. 

I also have pictures of a day Ryan spent with his cousins.

Until We Meet Again

Uncle Jordan left us on Thursday, a couple of weeks before his 40th birthday.

Keld was able to spend his last days with him and start mourning with Aunt Emmy, Parks and Sawyer. He came back with a heavey heart and it will be a long journey until we meet again.
