My Birthday

 I turned 45 on Tuesday. Sister Newton made us supper, with a chocolate cake for dessert.

We celebrated yesterday with the family. Unfortunately, I was sick (still am...)

Happy Halloween !

 This year Zack is hunting for Halloween but Ryan was at the school's parade.Unfortunately, with Keld gone and Julia at seminary, I had to do the make-up...

Julia was Gru at school with some of her friends being other people from the movie but she was a pink cowgirl later.

Kelden was a boxer, a Ghosbuster and Mickey...

Our closest neighbour had come on Saturday to give them their treats.

This year the harvest wasn't as good. It's partly because Ryan was still not feeling great and so they didn't go too far and partly because people would only give treats to Ryan and not to Kelden or Julia, saying they don't give to parents...

Usually, the table is full...I told Julia and Kelden that they could continue without Ryan but after being called Mom and Dad they didn't feel like it...Another neighbor gave them treats the next day as they didn't get to see them since Ryan gave up so fast. 

Maybe they will leave some for Zack...

Pumpkins

 As Keld always complains about how much work carving the pumpkins is for him, we decided to try and do it without him, during our pdday. Julia helped Ryan and so she did her own pumpkin later.

Haunted House

 The youth renewed with the tradition of the haunted house at church. Kelden and Julia being part of it, they didn't wear their Halloween costume. Zack dressed as a hunter since he will be hunting this year for Halloween. 

It was a lot of work for just a few minutes.

The kids were also able to get candy.

Not that Ryan needs any of it...

 Ryan turned five on Wednesday.

I think he's ready for Halloween...
