We had the Thanksgiving dinner on the Friday.
Ryan was at the head of the table for his first Thanksgiving!
In the morning, Ryan and I had gone to the boys' celebration. Kelden had a part in the play.
Saturday and Sunday we watched conference!
And on Monday, we had more turkey! Our goal was to do something like this:
I knew it wouldn't be as good..I didn't want to buy a food marker or corn syrup..so it wasn't going to be the same, but we thought we could do something close. We tried.
We were disappointed when after cooking, the colors changed. In the dough (the little balls you see in the picture) it really looked red, yellow and orange but it faded in the oven. Then, we thought we had waited long enough for the cake to cool, but obviously we hadn't....
Julia was ready to give up but we're not quitters. We put the cake in the fridge for a little bit and tried again. We couldn't put it up again but oh well, we can still tell what it is!
