Train Stories

At Schreiber, we also stopped at the museum. Their displays were in different railcars. One of them had been transformed into a cinema. The movie explained how the town was created when they were building the transcanadian railway.

On our way back home, we stopped at the train station where a soldier bought a rescued bear. He named him Winnie after his hometown of Winnipeg and left him in the London zoo while fighting in France. This is where the bear made an impression on the author of Winnie the Pooh.

Carole left the next day :(
