Since Simon has been laying eggs she's become more dangerous. Dangerous to herself first because she's not meant to lay eggs and we've never fed her for that purpose, so laying eggs (especially the weird shaped ones)could kill her. She is also now more protective and so more aggressive, which is dangerous for the kids (needless to say it's Kelden who scares us the most as he comes up too close to her). Therefore, with a heavy heart, Keld decided to say good bye.

Good-bye Special
Keld went with Dad down South this week to bring Simon to a lady, Nancy, who takes care of parrots at her home. She trains them, helps them stop their bad habits and finds them a new home. She said she thinks Simon will stop laying eggs and plucking her feathers as she gets used to a new environment. Here are pictures of her new place:
She's not alone
Have fun in your new adventures Simon!
