We got married on a Friday, had the reception the next day between two sessions of general conference and drove to Ottawa (via Toronto) two days later on the Thanksgiving Monday. This year, the pattern was repeated.

This year we had Thanksgiving dinner on the Monday. Kelden was all excited about the turkey he drew, but not about the one to eat, unlike Julia. When they came back on Friday they were both very happy. I thought Kelden was just proud of his drawings but after seeing him jumping for joy and singing "School's over! School's over!" I knew there was something more (and he wasn't celebrating an anniversary). I realized that he had thought that this long week-end meant the end of school for the year, especially since he had brought back the blanket they use for story time (to be washed). Poor Kelden..
