Crafts

Julia's favorite day of school is Friday:  it's the day the week-end starts and it is also the day they do crafts. Kelden likes crafts too. In fact, if he doesn't bring one back home from school, he declares that he hasn't done anything all day! We've been trying to do some at home too, since they like it so much. One time we made a birdhouse (and by "we" I mean Keld and the kids, I'm only good for preparation and cleaning-up).

Since it is fall, we thought we should make something with leaves. We went for a walk to gather some while Keld made a tree (using his tools).

The kids painted the tree and glued leaves on it.

We also made traditional wreaths (okay, ours are not so traditional, we only do simple things).

But the kids like it. They're busy and proud.

Julia is already excited about pumpkin carving for Halloween, and I'm sure she has lots of ideas for Christmas too...
