Disneyworld II Epcot

The first park we went to was Epcot. "There's no place like it on earth" Julia kept saying, repeating what she had learnt from watching videos on the Disney website. She decided she didn't like the rides, though (she wouldn't even do the boat ride, let alone Soaring) but preferred meeting Disney characters. We saw quite a few there, starting with Belle.

She was quite shocked when she realized that Belle did not speak French. After all, she is supposed to be French. She tried again with Aurora.

But she was very disappointed because Sleeping Beauty did not speak French either, even if we actually met her in France! Well, you know, the part that is supposed to represent France and where you pretend to be in France, eating baguettes and pastries.

It wasn't as good as in France, but eh, you're only pretending. Some don't know how to pretend, or maybe they are playing the tourist part. Look carefully behind Julia: the girl is eating a pain au chocolat with a fork and a knife!

I had to take a picture...Anyway, there are "true" French people in that area, including my son:

We also traveled to other favorite countries, such as

and even went all the way to China to meet Mulan.

I think Zack really liked her but after that he fell asleep and we couldn't take a good family picture. We took pictures of the rest of us anyway.

Voila for Epcot!

  1. I so wish we could have been there too. It looks like so much fun. I laughed when I read about Julia trying to talk to Belle and Aurora in French. Too funny. I love your new family picture at the top of the blog. You all look so happy/excited!
