Europe 2013: Château Chillon

Our trip to Switzerland was short but very nice. I finally got to see where two of my sisters live and we visited a few places, such as the castle in Montreux, Château Chillon.

It is a very nice castle on an island, dating back to the 11th century. Even Lord Byron carved his name in one of the prison cells. There was lots to learn, but the kids didn't read all the pamphlets or listen to all the information :)

They did really well at climbing all the stairs though.

It was worth it, the view was great, although you probably can't see from the pictures.

Kelden really appreciated his time with his aunt Géraldine, he held her hand almost the whole time !
So I took a picture of Monè :)

After the visit, we went swimming at the bottom of the castle.

Tata Carole was smart, she had thought of water shoes, it's not sandy around Lake Geneva...

Of course, Zack didn't want to go in the water, so he stayed with his dad.

It was a beautiful day (and now I know why Shania Twain chose this place :)
