Europe 2013: The Chocolate Factory

Of course, in Switzerland, we had to talk chocolate (and eat some too). And we did even better: we went to visit a chocolate factory ! Julia's favorite visit (she is my daughter!).

Before starting the visit we went to the waiting room: a cinema where they played old ads, old chocolate factory visits and old little movies about chocolate (of course). In one of the movies, the chocolate master, Monsieur Caillé, was moving out of his frame...

The first part of the visit was a ride through the history of chocolate. It was very well done, he kids really liked it but I don't have any pictures (like I said, it was like a ride, it was dark, it was moving from everywhere, so not easy for pictures). The next part allowed us to taste some ingredients.

In that room, there was a little explanation of the link between chocolate and happiness (an explanation I didn't need since the link is obvious to me!)

After that we did see a machine.

But the last part was the best part: we got to taste quite a few different chocolates !!

My kids are real connaisseurs !  At the exit, outside, there was a playground.

It really is a nice place to visit, very typical of Switzerland (for the chocolate, of course, but also for where it is situated).

But after that, it was time to leave that beautiful country and go back to France and more family !
